Never get paid
I earn the cash back and then I never get paid. The payout day comes and goes and I never receive my check.

I just learned that my substantial weekly online grocery orders are not being credited for cash back at Rakuten. They say it is because my store uses Instacart, but it does not.
I have tried to rectify this on their supposed help web page, to no avail. There is nowhere on their site to explain the problem, and their customer service phone number now says they do not resolve any inquiries by phone.

Rakuten advertised 2X in-store at Raymour & Flanigan. As such, before making my purchase, I linked my AMEX card with my Rakuten account.
The purchase was over $5,000; however, there are no pending points. I am seeking a resolution; otherwise, I will file a consumer fraud claim with the New Jersey Attorney General's office.

I have been sending messages through the app. I get no response.
You can't reach anyone by phone. I referred a family member; they made an account and have made purchases, and neither one of us got our $50 from the referral!
Very aggravating! Don't lie - if you aren't going to pay people for referrals, don't offer it!

The Rakitin app is more complicated than necessary. I was attempting to get points for an order I did at chewy.com. The subtitle was $14.99 and invoice sign
After using the chat, nothing happened to resolve my chewy.com transaction and it did not get put into their system. I then found his consumer.com.
And their customer service phone number and to no surprise at all they said they were unable to help me at this time and it was a pre-recorded message. They also provided no time frame in which they could help.

Impossible to get in touch with anyone. I made a mistake entering my email address when creating my account. Because of this, I am unable to make any changes to my account (because I would have to verify changes through my email) or redeem my cash back rewards.

No proper customer service
I have placed an order through Rakuten for which I didn't receive any information. Neither the order details nor the tracking ID.
I have sent many messages to the help center regarding this, but no response. It's been 10 days with no response at all.

Cash back issues
There is no way to contact them via phone or get your questions answered. Sometimes it works great, other times they make promises that are never delivered - so it is absolutely false advertising!
You have to check your accounts closely and keep an eye on things. Frustrating.

There is no number provided for customer service to inquire. I spent 159.00 on a 49er jersey and tried to get the free 49er promo sweatshirt and never got the email to place my size. I contacted Fanatics as they were tied into the promo who told me to contact Rakuten to no avail.

I was disappointed that no one from the company contacted. I guess Rakuten doesn't care about their customers it's business as usual for the company it's a machine.
It's bad customer service when you do not care about the people who keep your business going.
I sent my itinerary like Rakuten requested with no reply. I give Rakuten a zero rating.
