Just after subscribe VIKI Rakuten for less than month last year , all dramas picture would become frozen, I tried to put comment and ask for help numerous time , no one ever respond nor get back me ,
I cancelled it maybe after few weeks subscription. I know I would loose that years fee .
However this year on Aug 15, 2024, I noticed my credit card bill shows APPLE.com bill of $99.99 and I am wondering what was that, finally found it - from VIKI Rakuten your company. It is ridiculous that you automatically charge me through my apple computer, even I did not watch (was not able) to watch your app more than a year. You can check if I ever watched it ,it is under Annie Chen . I cancelled the subscription last year 2023, maybe around April.
Why you do an automatically renew with no approval from me?
You guys are very difficult to reach, I called and I sent you through the help center whe problem with the subscription, no one ever get back to me!
I want my money back. I stop my subscription last year and there even has no VIKI app anymore long time ago!
User's recommendation: VIKI has no customer service , whenever you need help! The picture quality is terrible , constantly froze , no sound , so how are you able to see anything, no response from anyone in VIKI, never!

Rakuten sent me on a not-so-merry chase, trying to get them to pay their guaranteed cash back. First, they denied my order, then they told me I never ordered anything, and then they blamed my scene account not being connected etc. In the app at checkout, I also got a nasty popup claiming to be Rakuten cash back but it was a scam site, and I had to cancel my credit card.

Preferred solution: Them to be more honest and for Scotiabank to vet these scammers

Rakuten has a customer service number but are not taking phone calls. Since there is a "Pissed Consumer" website for them, I can see why.
I tried to call to tell them about the selective Rakuten deals that they have. I have tried to use Rakuten SEVERAL times since the beginning of the year, not knowing that 99% of the purchases I made did not even go through for me to receive my cash back rewards. I'm JUST NOW finding out that this happened. I had purchased big ticket items, and NONE of them are even on my list of my purchases.
I should be receiving a nice size "Big Fat Check" with the purchases I made.
And all this time I had been thinking that I was logged into my account, I wasn't. Whenever I got to purchase something, the Rakuten alert shows up, looking as if I'm signed in, and then I purchase my item and it acts as if it recognized the purchase. I just tried to look at my account the other day and it told me to log in when I thought I was already logged in. So I tried to log in and it's not accepting my password.
I tried to reset my password and I'm not getting the email to reset it.
It's as if I don't even have an account with them any more. THIS SEEMS LIKE A SCAM AND THAT THIS WEBSITE IS JUST MONITORING MY PURCHASES.

There is no Customer Service. Just Customer Disservice
I simply want to get my $5.00 Amazon gift card that i redeemed for points earned on 8/11/24. Issuing an Amazon gift card takes 10 minutes.
Rakuten for some reason needs 10 days. They offer no real customer support on its website. No phone number or on-line chat support is available. You can leave an email that they will try to get to, but apparently Rakuten still thinks the Global Pandemic is in effect and can't handle the high number of email messages in a timely manner.
If you google for a customer service phone number you will find 415-908-**** and 800-800-****. When you select member services you are not directed to a live agent or even a bot, you are directed back to the only email option. USELESS!! There was one chat option that directed me to another site called Just Answer.
But to use that site there is a "fully refundable" charge of $1.00 after you enter in your credit card information where you could get live chat support. What a SCAM!! But wait, there is more...
I found in the small print that if you want to ensure your rewards are paid out you need to make sure they are a minimum of $5.01.
That is NOT a typo. They apparently think they are off the hook for all $5.00 rewards, which is the minimum reward one can purchase.
User's recommendation: Don't do it! remove all Rakuten extension, delete all profiles, make sure to delete all trackers and cookies, check your privacy settings, unsubscribe, and block all incoming messages from Rakuten.
Waiting on Bergdorf Goodman for cash back. As a courtesy I think I should be credited for this purchase. It is documented by Rakuten. I am an excellent customer of many years.
Cannot get Rakuten to put cash back in my account. How long should Iwait on Bergdorfs?
